Based on the novel by Gillian Flynn (remember ‘Gone Girl’?), this is a very dark story based on the massacre of a family. But I will have to admit that watching this movie was nowhere near to reading the book. So if you have a choice, read the book.
Libby Day has had a very bad trauma as a child. Her mother and two sisters were massacred. What is more, Libby testified that his brother was responsible. For years, Libby Day leads a dysfunctional life using the donations bestowed upon her by kind individuals. When gradually those donations stop, she is forced to come out of her cocoon. It is then that an ardent follower of true crime mysteries promises to pay her if she visits his ‘Kill Club’!
